This College had been established on 15th Aug 1982 on the name of great Congress leader and former Principal of R.D & D.J College Munger- Late Dr. Umeshwar Prasad Verma. It got Affiliation under VITTA RAHIT SHIKSHA NITI Act Govt. of Bihar On 01/Sep/1988, by Intermediate Council, Patna. Later it was merged with Bihar School Examination Board, Patna. Now, our college is fully under Bihar School Examination Board Patna. After a long struggle for its staff’s Salary, Nitish govt. had announced grant on the basis of Performance of students in 2006. Since beginning of my student life I had a dream to do something for these children whose family were not well to do and couldn’t spend any money to give education to their children. When my elder brother who was than a prominent congress leader guided me and I, with my few well wishes established a college in munger . when we thought about the college’s name, no other came into our minds than respectful Dr. Umeshwar Prasad Verma. like this,this college came into existence on 15th August 1982. Gradually it grew and gained a separate reputation in the district. I am thankful to all the former and present members and staffs this college without their contribution my dream would never come true.

U.P VERMA INTER COLLEGE has gained a strong reputation among all the affiliated colleges of Munger District. We believe that the educational institutions are the temples of learning, education and Knowledge are blessed by goddess Saraswati,Teachers (guru) are equal to god and students are the devotees of education & Knowledge.
